Book Scout is Now on iOS and Android

After months of building and testing, Book Scout is officially available on iOS and Android.

Everything you use on the web is now with you wherever you go — your bookshelves, your AI theme breakdowns, your content ratings. If you're standing in a library, browsing a bookstore, or just lying in bed wondering what to read next, your phone now has answers.

What the app does

The Book Scout app brings the same AI analysis you rely on to your phone, with a few things that are only possible on mobile.

Scan books with your camera. Point your phone at a barcode and Book Scout pulls up the full analysis in seconds. This is the feature we built mobile for. You're at the library with your kid, there's a stack of ten books you've never heard of, and you can vet all of them before you leave.

All the analysis you already trust. Every book gets the same AI-generated theme breakdown — what it celebrates, what it contains, and a movie-style content rating so you know what you're getting into before you commit a single hour. No crowd noise, no star ratings. Just structured insight.

Your shelves are already there. If you're already a Book Scout member, everything is synced. Your Reading shelf, your Want to Read list, books you've analyzed — it's all waiting for you when you sign in.

If you've been using the web app, nothing changes there. The two are fully in sync — use whichever you prefer, or both.
